Man, I remember when I first saw this part, I was so confused. Like, Ulrich hadn't gotten hit at all, but a little slide across the ground devirtualized him? The only explanation is that he was really, really, REALLY low on life points.

Life Points
Yumi: 20 HP

Taylor: Krabs can sacrifice their turn to intercept an attack of opportunity. Only one krab in a group can use it once per battle though.
Eric: I guess that’s good?
Taylor: The krab throws you several yards away, taking away the rest of your life points.
[Ulrich slides across the ground, and his virtual form falls apart.]
Eric: Great. At this rate, Maya’s going to be on her own at the end of Rachel’s next turn.
Taylor: Oh. The krab spotted Maya and will attack her on its next turn.
Rachel: It’s a good thing the stupid krab wasted its turn. I’ll run in between them.
Taylor: Uh, hang on a moment.
Rachel: Whose turn is it now?
Ian: Maya’s.
Taylor: Someone help me find her sheet!

Why would you not have a sheet for someone in a combat...?

Maya does have a sheet, but Taylor misplaced it way back in the beginning of the session. But he figured that Maya would be fine as long as she stayed out of the monsters' views. Need be, she could just run. But now she's cornered, spotted, and has to do something to protect herself.
