I mean, it was kind of obvious what was in the Guardian, but you can't blame me for trying to create a little mystery.

By the way, France uses regions, not states.

Life Points
Aelita: 30 HP

Ian (as GM): Okay, uh. . . I don't know what happens next.
Rachel: I'll take over from here. First, make a Knowledge (Local) Check.
Madeline Text: 18.
Rachel: Good enough. This thing is a Guardian, a really passive monster. Not really a danger unless you're its target, in which case it'll absorbs you, trapping you inside.
Rachel: What makes this thing a problem is that it's virtually indestructible. Easy to get in but nearly impossible to get out.
Madeline: Eep!
Rachel: It doesn't move to attack. It's a one-person jail, and it's already occupied. With another Yumi.
Madeline Text: In what state?
Rachel: . . . France uses states?
Madeline Text: I mean! I mean!
Madeline Text: Is she only code?
Madeline Text: A simulation of what Yumi is doing on Earth?
Rachel: Ah. . . huh. I don't know how to describe it without giving it away. She's not in pieces. She's as she originally is on Lyoko but she's, uh, what did the GM say? Inactive?
Madeline Text: Like she's on pause?
Rachel: Not a bad description. Yeah.
Ian: Wait, wait. You called it a jail.
Rachel: That I did.
Madeline: . . . . . . !
Rachel: Hmm? Figured it out?
Madeline: Maybe? Except. . . Ohhh.
[A kankrelat passes by Aelita.]
Ian: Uh-oh. Kankrelat spotted you~.
Madeline: Run run run run run run RUN!

Slight question this page brings up for me: I know the show is set in France. Is the group also in France? Or did they decide to RP french people?

This group is American. As for why they have the setting in France, it's because either (a) Bonnie had it already set in France when giving over the campaign and they kept it, or (b) because they just wanted it set in a different place because why not? Or (c) to explain why the absurdly spacious sewers exist. Any of these works.

I might add that Bonnie probably used for the maps and visuals of Kadic and of the factory a real highschool (Lakanal highschool in Sceaux, near Paris) and a real abandonned factory island (Renault Island, near Paris too, but not that close of the Lakanal Highschool).

So they may have wanted to keep it in France to match the references.

And I must say, as a french roleplaying guy, I've got great campaigns taking places in others countries (mainly in USA I must say, the gun legislation fits really well gritty games like World of Darkness)

The last panel is what kept happening to me the one time i played a non physical-combat class.
i really can't play a squishy wizard properly and always ended up where i should'nt when i can't take a huge blow.
