Call Taylor a hypocrite, but he knows first hand that vengeance and stuff can snowball out of control and affect the whole group.

Taylor: Ian, I’ll think something up for Jim, but I need to think something up first. Okay?
Ian: <grumble grumble>
Taylor: Andy, st—
Andy’s Cell Phone: <BZZT>
Andy: Hang on a sec! It’s the pizza guy.
Andy: Hello?. . . Yep. . . You brought three, right?. . . Great! I’ll be right down.
Andy: Be right back, guys! Don’t go on a killing spree without me, Rache!
Taylor: . . .
Taylor (whispering): Ugh, God.
Taylor: Madeline. You fine?
Madeline: Um, yes. . .
Taylor: <sigh>
Taylor: I get it. Everyone's tense because a party member is under the villain's control, and we're starting to rub each other the wrong way.
Taylor: I know I'm not the best role model for this after last session, but. . . can we not let personal beefs get in the way of our game?
Taylor: I'm not saying forgive and forget right away, but geez. The enemy is XANA, not each other.

A DM I play with implemented "No football tackle" rules. We're not allowed to do attack each other.

Unforyunately for some reason it's been decided that mind affecting effects don't count as "attacking" each other. Which is irksome since one player has some and the rest of the party doesn't.

"No Stefernus is not allowed to trip Vlad and Lynn isn't allowed to punch him either. Even though Vlad used Baleful pathos to inflict crushing despair on Stefernus."

Everything else is great but I feel like the rule was not properly worked out.

Yeah, I agree with you. Being purposefully put in a disadvantage like that sounds like an attack.

But "No football tackle" rule is a great and fitting name.

So if they're not allowed to attack... What about shoves and grapples? Not dealing damage, but annoying? Though saying they're not allowed to trip suggests that's not allowed either.

Go for psychological warfare in thoses case. find the right things to say and do to drive the other crazy. like convincing him that something bad will happen if baleful pathos is used on you. :D

i thought Taylor was curently a girl.

It took me a bit to figure out how you came up with that conclusion on this page. I tend to use "guys" if there's a mixture of genders in a group. It's shorter and more casual than "everyone", but maybe there's something better.

Taylor is currently a boy this session, but I'm not surprised you thought he was a girl since no one (not even me!) said his current pronouns. My bad! XD

(No offense is taken; you're good. Maybe I'll just note his pronouns in the author's note at the start of a new session since we don't really have any visual cues for him and I can't just use "he said", "she said", or "they said". This is a comic, not a book.)
