You know, I don't recall ever having a dog lick me in the face even though I had two dogs over the years. Dog lovers, is it a common behavior, licking their owner's face?

The flow and direction of the dialogue, narrator, and speech bubbles can get a little confusing. I can't always tell who's narrating this comic. Is this confusion intentional or coincidental? Either way, I've never quite seen someone make dialogue that way. It's innovative.

I must have a tasty face because almost every dog that I pet goes to lick my face. It’s up there in the 80-90% range.
But yeah it has to do with posture usually in my experience. Getting down low to the dogs face so that they are on your eye level, or letting them jump up and lean on you so that they put their face level with yours. Do that, and you’ll have a happy dog giving you love and attention easy most of the time. Other tricks include not stretching out your fingers to a dog when you want to pet it, put out a fist instead and they’re more likely to sniff it and get closer. (Fingers are “claws” while a fist is a non-threatening action, kinda like a wolf showing you it’s neck)

never had a dog, but a friend did and his dog had a habit to lick people faces, i taught him to stop and stick with licking peoples hands (except with his owner, he kept licking his face). he also stopped lickin my hand too, don't know how intelligent dogs are, but seem like he somehow got that did not like being licked.
