I had considered making Jeremie Lawful Good, but considering all the times he hacks government sites and makes forgeries... that is such a chaotic thing to do.

Next page on Monday. Have a good weekend!

Talking about Jim as an undercover agent makes me want an AU of Code Lyoko where Jim is 21 Jump Streeting the gang.

Jeremie is definitely chaotic good. Or at worst neutral good. He is a good guy, let’s leave it at that.

Good news is, when it comes to hacking, you don’t always have to trick the system. Just trick the people managing the system.

Let’s see... might as well start with birth records. Find a hospital with a single IT guy who just regularly updates anti-virus and cybersecurity software...

Hmm... would it be better to find a dead couple and have them on record as the birth parents?

It’s too bad they don’t have an adult ally who knows about XANA and willing to help out by adopting Aelita. :p

Ooh! I know! Emancipation! They’d have to make her a bit older on paper, though.

How does it work in France, anyway? ~_^

I suddenly had a mental vision of Jim adopting Aelita. He counted as an adult ally at the end of season 1.

This reminded me of a book I had where this family had to go into witness protection or something similar and adopt completely new identities. The main character, a teenaged girl, was given the birth certificate of a child who was born the same year as her but died really young, so there was no need to add a new identity to the books. She's just borrowing one. I think the rest of the family's new births and marriage certificates were conducted the same way, but I doubt the names all came from the same family. That would be suspicious.

Shame I don't remember the title. I'll have to see if I still have the book.

I, unfortunately, have no idea how any of this works in France. I could research it, but I don't want to go down a rabbit hole of legal law anytime soon.

EDIT: Ah-ha! "Don't Look Behind You" by Lois Duncan.

The alignment system is honestly pretty dumb anyway.
