Hoping that NPCs forget something is the same thing as hoping the GM forgot something. Of course, if your GM realizes they were played, you should expect some retaliation. So you better hope that the NPC has poor skills in whatever the GM wants them to do.

Taylor: It took you most of the day, but you and Sissi managed to get most of the spray paint off.
Stein: Jeremie immediately retreats to his room and works on the materialization.
Taylor: Very well. Computer use.
<ROLL>
Taylor: Wait! You never told Sissi about your “game!”
Stein: I guess it just slipped Jeremie’s mind.
Taylor: Well, Sissi just remembered. But she’s not going to Jeremie’s room right now.

Eric: Is it that girl talking?
Andy: Shh!
Stein (Jeremie): Well, uh, you may be fine with that, but if you don’t come here soon, I’m spending my vacation with just Sissi and Jim.
Taylor (Aelita): It would be a living nightmare?
Stein (Jeremie): Exactly.
Taylor (Aelita): Jeremie. I appreciate everything you’re doing for me. Thank you.
[Jeremie blushes a little.]
Stein (Jeremie): Th-That's okay.
Andy: Eeee!

Well, the earlier the materialize her, the earlier they can turn off the supercomputer to avoid more Xana related trouble. (or so they they thought at this point of the story.)
