Would you guys do something like this? Do extensive research for a minor thing? I do this ALL the time.

One time, I was trying to come up with a medical name for fictional disease, and the medical field has so many prefixes and suffixes based on what the disease does on the body. 5 hours later, I found a few promising words and settled on one a few days later.

Taylor: You see the carnage the bear has left behind. Overturned cars. Bent streetlights. And the bear itself in the distance.
Eric: Ulrich has super speed in the real world, right?
Taylor: Yes, indeed. It’ll still take you about a round to get to Yumi’s house though.
Eric: I increase my speed.
Taylor: <whistle> You zoom right past the bear.
Eric: I keep going. When I reach Yumi’s street, I’ll slow down to safer speeds so I don’t break anything from the whiplash.
Eric: Is that enough?
Taylor: Erm, I think so. But what made you think of that?
Eric: I studied the effects of super speed. I wanted to be sure I played this game correctly.
Andy: Wait, that’s why you were studying that? I thought you were doing a report on the Flash.
Eric: It crossed my mind.

All the time. Usually something really really minor that kind of winds up with me just falling further down the rabbit hole.

Ahah, so Eric's tendency to want things to have explanation did help him.
